Hello there, my friends. (Whoops -- I started channeling Senator McCain for a minute there... sorry 'bout that).
Anyway, it has been some time since I've posted on here. One can only do so much in a day, and I haven't had the time or mental capacity to spend on blogging lately. Plus, social networking priorities have been rearranged a bit -- Facebook has eaten into a lot of the time I used to spend poking around on Blogger. And now I have a cadre of friends trying to get me to sign up on Twitter. (Yes, I used the word cadre -- and in this instance, I think it fits. "Cadre - A tightly knit group of zealots who are active in advancing the interests of a revolutionary party." Those of you familiar with the Twitter-pated friends of which I speak will no doubt agree that they fit that definition...). I've resisted the urge to sign up so far, but I feel myself beginning to get sucked in...
So what's up with my blog post title? Well, for one, Bon Jovi was cool when I was a teenager. Second, as of tomorrow at 11 PM CDT, I will be 25% of the way through my MBA program. (Remember 4th grade math...? 1/2 X 1/2 = 1/4...). Not like I've been keeping track or anything (cough!), but when my current "Applied Managerial Accounting" class ends tomorrow night, I will have completed 23 weeks of class, out of a total of 90. Four classes completed. It's a good feeling...
On an entirely different note, I just thought I'd point out a couple of new "blogs of note" that I will be adding to my Blogroll. First, R&B American Tour -- one of my cousins (Mark -- he's the "Brown" of "redandbrown") and his college roomie are making a 2-month journey across the US this summer, and they're documenting it all online for the world to see. They will be swinging into Memphis later this week, and I'm looking forward to getting together with him -- it's been a decade since we last saw one another.
The second blog of mention is the creation of an old San Diego buddy of mine, Brandon: Simple Christian. Brandon loves to think, and he always has an interesting (and often unique) perspective on things. Plus, he and I share a lot of the same musical interests (you know, Larnelle Harris, Sandi Patty, etc.), so that automatically places him in the "cool" column.
Alright, that's it for now. Take care, everyone. And if you're not on Facebook yet, go ahead and sign up. It's really not painful, and I think you'll like it.
